Children and Young people
Have you got children that you would like to bring to church? We run a specific programme just for kids!
During the 10:30am service on most Sundays our children stay in the service for the first couple of songs, and then head off to their groups.
The 3-14 year olds go to Sunday Club in which they split into age appropriate groups (3-8s, 9-14s). Here they play games, do craft activities and most importantly learn from the Bible. We want the children to have great fun while learning more about Jesus.
The aim of the groups is to help parents raise their children understanding the Christian faith, and this is central to everything the group does.
We take the safeguarding of both children and adults very seriously. Every group leader has been through a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check at enhanced level and attends safeguarding training. For more information on our Safeguarding policy, please contact Lily Richardson or Caroline Fletcher (who are in charge of Safeguarding at St Mary’s) through the Church email.
A crèche space is available throughout the service for babies and children from 0-3 years old. Parents can take their children there and there is space and toys to play. The crèche is not supervised so we ask that parents remain with their children in the crèche.
Friday Club is on a Friday evening during term time from 6-7:30pm for anyone in school years 6 to 9. There are games, food, fun and learning about Jesus. For more information see Friday Club.
