Sunday Services

Church service

Morning Service
St Mary's meets every Sunday at 10:30am for our Sunday morning services.  For those unable to attend in person, recorded sermons can be found here:  St Mary's Online Service

On the first and third Sundays of the month is a traditional holy communion service, the second and fourth Sunday is an informal morning service.  Each service lasts between an hour and an hour and a quarter.  We have special services for Christmas, Easter, Harvest and other events - so do look out for those on our upcoming events page.

All our services include singing, prayers and a talk from the Bible as well as activities for children.

We have a crèche space available for parents to take younger children (0-2s) as well as space in church for play during the service.  We have Sunday Club for children aged 2 to 11. Children stay with their parents for the first 10 minutes of the service as we sing songs together and there is a short ‘spot’ for the children. An announcement will be made when the children should head out to their groups with an explanation of where they should go.  Do feel free to take your children through to help them get settled.   For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the Sunday Club page.

After the service, there will be tea, coffee and biscuits served at the back of the church. Do stay if you can, we'd love to get to know you.

Evening Service
The evening service is each week at 6pm and we meet in the church hall - some in through the door on the left side of the main church entrance.

The evening service is a relaxed and informal meeting, centred on knowing Jesus Christ in his word. Everyone is welcome - and do stay afterwards for a cup of tea and chat with others.

We meet at:

46 Wimbledon Road
London SW17 0UQ

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a warm welcome particularly from our welcome team who will be able to answer your questions, will give you an order of service and direct you to where you need to go. Our services include time for singing, prayers led from the front, and a Bible reading and a talk explaining the Bible passage.

The person leading the service will tell you what you need and you are welcome to join in or listen in to whatever you feel comfortable with.

After the service tea, coffee and biscuits are served - a chance for some of us to say hello to you!

What happens to the kids at church?

We have groups for the children during the service.

Play space (young children and babies) - we have a space in church for play for young children with their parents during the service, you're welcome to use this with your children
Crèche (up to 3 years) - a sound-proof space in the church hall for parents to take their younger children during the service if they’d like to, you can listen to the service there
Sunday Club (3-6 and 7-11 year olds) - games, crafts and Bible teaching for the children during the service

Children stay with the adults at the start of the service for the first songs and a children’s spot. The leader will announce when it's time for the children to go to their groups.  If your child is new to church, feel free to accompany them to their group, get them settled in and, if they're happy, to leave them there.

See more information about Sunday Club here.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?
