'Stand up to Hatred' was the theme of the Morning Service on Sunday, 25th January 2009 during which Roger told the story of Charles Coward, a British Prisoner of War, who stood up to Holocaust hatred and rescued prisoners from Auschwitz. St Mary's children present a set of cards with the photographs and stories of courageous people who also stood up to hatred and discrimination and made a difference. Card set from The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust www.hmd.org.uk • We ate very well at our 'You Matter!' barbeque in July and so too did our guests...
Roger looks on in anticipation as John, our resident barbeque chef, cooks the food
Eileen, Maureen and Viv present the food in the church hall rather than in the church garden because it rained, but were we bothered...?
